A Little Bit About Our Products...
All of our livestock is raised on pasture. If the grass is growing, then they are on it, and we move them to new pasture often.
We do not apply any artificial fertilizers or pesticides to our pastures. We do apply composted manure from our winter bedding packs, and occasionally lime to adjust the soil PH.
We do not use antibiotics, unless sickness threatens the animal's life. This is very rare. We do not administer any hormones. A low stress life means happy, healthy animals and better tasting meat.
Our products are not certified organic, but they are grown following organic principles. Our pork and poultry require grain in addition to forage to be healthy and grow. To meet this need, we buy local grain. This grain is not certified organic or guaranteed to be non-GMO. However, our cows are never fed grain; they are grass-fed and grass-finished.
